Michael Opiyoh is currently the Head of Technical Team at the eCampus of Maseno University in Kenya. This is a full-time role that entails coordinating, planning and supervising the technical team to ensure that eCampus delivers on its mandate of offering quality online academic programmes and achieving effective learning outcomes.
Apart from the full time role at the eCampus, Michael is also a part-time Lecturer in the Department of Information Technology at Maseno University and Moi University where he teaches undergraduate common IT courses and Bsc. IT courses respectively.

Michael has actively participated in implementing a number of eLearning projects in higher institutions of learning in Kenya right from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. He is a registered PhD in Information Technology student at Maseno University, a holder of Master of Science degree in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Projects & Consultancies:

1. Michael was the Project Coordinator of EPICA Project (Strategic partnership for the co-design of an innovative and scalable eportfolio ecosystem to improve the quality and visibility of skills). The Project was funded by European Union and was implemented by seven (7) consortium partners; International Council for Open and Distance Education (ICDE), MyDocumenta Enterprises (Spain), University of Catalunya (Spain), Integrated Communications, World Wide Events (ICWE GmbH Germany), Open University of Tanzania (Tanzania), Makerere University (Uganda), Maseno University and African Virtual University (Kenya).
2. Participated in the setting up of the Kenya School of Revenue Administration (KeSRA) eCampus https://ecampus.kra.go.ke/ecampus/
3. Participated in the setting up of the eLearning Portal for Gulu University in Uganda : https://elearning.gu.ac.ug
