Maseno University represented at The Second Aquatic Resources & Blue Economy Conference (ARBEC II) 2024

Theme: “Science-Driven Stewardship for a Sustainable Blue Economy”

ARBEC II is a collective commitment to address the critical issues affecting oceans, lakes, and waterways. Climate change, overfishing, pollution, and habitat degradation demand innovative and science-driven solutions.

Maseno University as one of the partners is exhibiting various Technologies, Innovations, and Management Practices (TIMPs) from the research projects at Maseno University. These include Aquaponics, which allows the production of fish and crops in a closed loop and optimizes water and nutrient usage. On display are also different products from Black Soldier Fly (BSF) including BSF-based fish feeds and oil.
