One challenge that is often faced, especially in transdisciplinary and multi-institutional research projects, is the harmonization of data collection tools and protocols that bring to focus the multiple disciplinary approaches to implementable models.
As part of the PrAEctiCe project, the Maseno University team, led by Julia Akinyi trained partners on the use of KOBO Collect open access tool in data collection. The tool will be used in mapping Integrated Agriculture Aquaculture practices in the three East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
The Kobo Collect Android app is used for collecting data on mobile devices.
